OUR STORY
It all started with a swipe right.
Seriously though - it did. Being true to our millennials selves, we unashamedly met on that one app with the little red flame. Don't judge us.
Our first conversations were completely filled to the brim with puns that would make anyone groan, because of course it was - it's us, after all! Soon after, we met at a restaurant that sadly no longer exists - The Station in Carrboro, NC (RIP best vegetarian chili ever). Jenny brought her little puppy, Allie, who aptly decided to urinate in the middle of the road and stop traffic, and that was the moment Marty first saw Jenny.
And, well, the rest was history. Shortly thereafter, we moved into an apartment together, a few years after that we bought a house together, and a few years after that we decided to get MARRIED.
We look back on the years we've been together with pure joy. What a marvelous thing it is to marry your best friend. In our case, it's someone to show your silliest self to, to try out your cheesiest pun on, and to trust your whole heart with.
We are SO excited to get married, and we absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with each of you!

Planning your trip
When should we arrive?
It's your trip, so arrive when you'd like! Marty and Jenny will be arriving Tuesday, August 24. Starting Thursday, we will have small activities planned each day leading up to the wedding that anyone can attend if they wish.
How do we get to Sedona?
You can fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) - 2 hour drive or Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG) - 45 minute drive. Plan on renting a car or carpooling with someone from the airport.
If coming from Phoenix, be sure to drive into Sedona on highway 179. If you are coming from Flagstaff drive into Sedona on highway 89A. These may take a few minutes longer to arrive, but the sceneries on the roads are well worth it.
Where should we stay?
We would recommend the following hotels, as they are less than a mile away from the Red Agave Resort where all of the festivities will be:
If you are interested in an Airbnb, focus your search to the Village of Oak Creek.
What do you recommend we do while in Sedona?
The Sedona area is great for hiking and exploring the natural world around it. If you will be hiking, bring hiking shoes and be sure to pack water! If hiking isn't your thing, you can also see the sights on one of the several Jeep tours in the area.
The Southwest is the perfect place to eat an obscene amount of Mexican food, and by far our favorite is Elote Cafe. Marty claims that Elote Cafe is another vortex in Sedona. Reservations book up about a month in advance.
Outside of Sedona, The Grand Canyon is only a short two-hour drive north. Highway 89A to Flagstaff en route to the Grand Canyon is one of America's most scenic drives.
If you're flying into Phoenix, you should stop by the historically intriguing Montezuma Castle. It's right on the way to Sedona.
